Drive Thru' !

They say the best time to do the 'talk' with your parents is during dinner, when they're in a good mood so the odds of getting a green light is relatively higher. For me, the best time to do so, especially when you can't tell them because you're nervous, or like me, who doesn't share anything personal with my parents, is to talk it out when you're in the car, on the road, preferably not in a traffic jam. Better-- if I'm the driver, so I don't pretend to be asleep when my mom (usually) approaches a 'danger zone'. So it's like, you can't run once you've started, so might as well...

So on the first week of Ramadhan, a man tried to matchmake me with with a girl (I think he said his daughter), I was literally :O I tried saying no, but he wouldn't take it. Then I was like D: Couldn't sleep well for a few days. I was too afraid to tell my mom about it, embarrassed actually. At the same time, I was afraid if that man came up straight to my mum instead, and she said something I wish she wouldn't. It was horrifying. For me. At this age.

A few days ago, my mum told me how she's been nagging my brother to get married *danger zone!* I had the wheels, traffic was slow. This is it...Do it bruh! *Deep breath*

"Remember that man I told you about? The one I met at the masjeed?"
"Yeah?"
"That time he asked me, if I had 'someone'..."
"someone? What someone?"
"Er...you know...wife to be."
" Ha??" And she burst. Laughing. Fun.

Then i swerved and hit a super expensive Beemer.
..
..
well not exactly. We got home safely. It felt good to let it out, knowing she didn't mind. She said she wouldn't intervene such matters with here children, unless she has to. I've so much to do before I commit to such relationship. Not that I can guarantee I'd prioritize well though. Ahah s'long as it is blessed by Allah, insyaAllah :)
