A Little Note

Assalamualaikum and g'day.

If you stay at one point for long enough, and under a certain fixed environment, you will become what is expected of you, by the majority without you knowing it. The river that flows, runs clean water while the stagnant is dirty and repulsive.

We, human are rarely independent--mostly we are influenced by our environment. In our workplace, if we are trained to be a 'paperwork factory', then we would most likely to end up as one. Our exam oriented educational system teaches us to learn to pass exams, then our 'interviews' and 'project work' are only exams to us in the future. On the other hand, liberating ourselves from any fixed system will do you no more good than being imprisoned by one. You gotta have multiple perspective yo!

Imaam Syafi'e mentioned the importance of 'traveling', to see the God's creations, and to see the minds of people. Being in different places, surrounded by different cultures, opens our mind to new perspective, giving us just that lil' bit of flexibility. So, set your foot off to other lands, plan your adventures. Go!

I have yet to plan mine, insyaAllah in a few years I will.

On the other note;

"The doctor told me I have less than a year to live, with what I have left, I would be happy--if I could spend the rest of my days with a man who could bring me closer to Allah. You've brought me so far, without even saying a word to me--without even seeing your face. I pictured--you are the one."

I was never good at writing stories, not that I never wanted to--just afraid. But hey, there's a first for everything, right?
